Jika kita gunakan pikiran negatif sebagai default state, maka semua perbuatan kita akan berdasarkan ini (kekhawatiran atau cemas). Dengan pikiran positif, maka perbuatan kita akan didasarkan oleh getaran positif, sehingga hal positif akan semakin besar kemungkinannya.

Semakin positif kita menyikapi hambatan, semakin besar kesempatan kita menemukan penyelesaian atas hambatan tersebut.

Kesepuluh: “Comfortable in their own skin” Menutup-nutupi sesuatu maupun supaya tampak “lebih” dari lawan bicaranya.

Pernah bertemu dengan orang sukses yang rendah diri alias tidak nyaman dengan diri mereka sendiri? Tidak ada tentunya.

Manajemen Orang Lain dan Diri Sendiri

Suatu survei yang menanyakan faktor apa sajakah yang sering dikeluhkan seorang karyawan tentang atasannya menemukan 9 hal utama, yaitu: (1) sikap/tindakan yang seperti hakim, (2) sombong, (3) tidak dapat menunjukkan/memberikan penghargaan kepada karyawan, (4) tidak dapat atau tidak mau melihat/mendengar pandangan dari sudut yang lain, (5) tidak mempunyai jiwa kepemimpinan, (6) tidak terbuka dan tidak jujur, (7) tidak mampu mendelegasikan tanggung-jawabnya, (8) tidak dapat mengambil keputusan dengan cepat dan tepat dan (9) bias, membiarkan emosi mempengaruhi keputusan-keputusannya.

Salah satu cara untuk menghindari hal-hal di atas adalah mulai mengatur (me-"manage") orang lain dan diri sendiri agar dapat bertindak secara asertif/tegas. Delapan tahapannya adalah sbb.:

1. Membangun kepercayaan diri
Percaya pada kemampuan diri sendiri. Mencintai diri sendiri dengan segala kekurangannya. Mampu menghargai keberhasilannya sehingga mampu pula menghargai keberhasilan orang lain.

2. Mampu mendengar secara aktif
Memberikan kesempatan orang lain berbicara tanpa harus dinilai dan mengarahkannya agar dapat mengatasi masalahnya sendiri sehingga memumuk kepercayaan diri orang lain

3. Berani mengambil resiko
Berani menyatakan pendapat, berani minta apa haknya, dapat mengekspresikan kemauannya, dan tahu seberapa jauh ia berani mengambil resiko tersebut

4. Dapat/berani mengatakan ‘tidak’
Berani menolak pekerjaan dari atasan/teman yang bukan tanggung-jawabnya atau pekerjaan yang tidak mungkin dilakukannya

5. Tahu cara memberikan kritik yang positif
Berikan kritik bersama cara memperbaiki kesalahan tsb.

6. Tahu cara menghadapi kritik
Ingat bahwa kesalahan anda tidak samadengan diri anda.

7. Tahu cara memberi sanjungan/pujian
Mendasarkan pujiannya pada pencapain tujuan, sesuai

8. Tahu apa yang ia inginkan sendiri
Bersikap fleksibel dan mau menyesuaikan diri dengan kepribadian karyawannya dan pada waktu yang tepat

Check Your Self-Control Ability

EACH person needs the freedom to be creative and self actualization. On the other hand, control of the self-regulation is necessary as the instigation and capabilities, whether physical, psychological, and behavioral.

Full / self control (self-control) is the influence or regulation or a person against the physical, behavioral, and psychological processes (Calhoun & Acocella, 1990). It is very important in a person's life. Why?

40 orang terkaya di Indonesia versi Forbes

Hartono Bersaudara, Bercokol di Daftar Terkaya Berkat Djarum dan BCA

Jakarta - Duo bersaudara, R Budi Hartono dan Michael Hartono, kembali menempati posisi pertama dalam daftar orang terkaya Indonesia versi majalah Forbes untuk tahun 2010.

Dua bersaudara itu berhasil memiliki kekayaan US$ 11 milar atau sekitar Rp 99 triliun berkat suksesnya usaha rokok Djarum dan juga BCA. Dua bersaudara itu berada di posisi puncak daftar orang terkaya Indonesia selama 2 tahun berturut-turut.

"Mereka mewarisi perusahaan rokok Djarum dari ayahnya, namun sekarang ini mereka meraup kekayaannya dari BCA, yang merupakan bank terbesar dan masuk dalam Forbes Fab 50 tahun ini," demikian ditulis Forbes seperti dikutip detikFinance, Jumat (3/12/2010).

Djarum kini tercatat sebagai produsen rokok kretek terbesar ketiga di Indonesia, setelah Gudang Garam dan HM Sampoerna. Pada tahun 2002, Djarum menjadi pemegang saham mayoritas (51%) di BCA lewat Faralon Capital Management. BCA tumbuh pesat dan menjadi bank terbesar dari sisi jumlah nasabah. Kinerjanya pun cukup gemilang. Hingga 30 September 2010, BCA berhasil meraup laba hingga Rp 6,1 triliun, meningkat 20,0% dibandingkan Rp 5,1 triliun yang dicetak pada periode yang sama tahun sebelumnya.

Para pengusaha rokok Indonesia tampaknya masih menjadi muka-muka lama dalam daftar terkaya Forbes itu. Setelah Duo Hartono, pemilik Gudang Garam, Susilo Wonowidjojo berada di peringkat kedua dengan kekayaan US$ 8 miliar atau setara dengan Rp 64 triliun, naik US$ 2,6 miliar dibandingkan tahun lalu.

Berbeda dengan duo Hartono, Susilo Wonowidjojo masih menggantungkan kekayaannya dari Gudang Garam, yang merupakan produsen rokok kretek terbesar.


Dalam daftar 40 orang terkaya Indonesia tahun 2010 itu, selain didominasi oleh pengusaha rokok, juga pengusaha CPO dan batubara. Salah satu pengusaha Indonesia yang berhasil membuat loncatan tajam kekayaannya berkat kenaikan harga komoditas adalah Kiki Barki.

Pemilik perusahaan batubara, Harum Energy ini untuk pertama kalinya masuk dalam daftar orang terkaya Indonesia dengan harta mencapai US$ 1,7 miliar. Kiki Barki berhasil meraup dana hingga Rp 2,6 triliun saat melepaskan saham Harum Energy ke lantai bursa pada 6 Oktober lalu.

Nama lain yang masuk kategori pendatang baru adalah seorang warga India yang sudah menjadi WNI, Sri Prakash Lohia. Pemilik Indorama Sythetics itu berada di posisi ke-6 dengan harta sebesar US$ 2,65 miliar. Keluarga besar Lohia memang termasuk konglomerat kaya. Kakak Lohia, Ashoke yang tinggal di Thailand juga merupakan miliuner karena kakak iparnya, Lakshmi Mittal juga merupakan orang terkaya kedua di Asia. Baik Mittal maupun Lohia sama-sama memiliki rumah di London.

Para orang-orang terkaya di Indonesia itu juga membuat gebrakan yang cukup besar sepanjang tahun ini, seperti Chairul Tanjung yang membeli 40% saham Carrefour Indonesia, Peter Sondakh yang menjual saham di Semen Gresik serta kelompok usaha milik Aburizal Bakrie yang menjalin kerjasama dengan keluarga Rothschild.

Untuk masuk dalam daftar ini, seorang pengusaha harus memiliki kekaywaan US$ 455 juta, naik dari tahun lalu yang hanya US$ 240 juta. Sebanyak 8 orang terdepak dari daftar tahun sebelumnya, diantaranya adalah pemilik AKR Soegiarto Adikoesoemo dan pemilik Rayamana Grup, Paulus Tumewu. Kekayaan keduanya memang naik, tapi tak cukup untuk bisa masuk dalam daftar ini.

Secara keseluruhan, total kekayaan 40 orang terkaya Indonesia di 2010 ini meningkat tajam dari US$ 42 miliar pada tahun 2009 menjadi US$ 71 miliar di tahun 2010. Total kekayaan para taipan tanah air yang mencapai US$ 71 miliar itu, hampir mendekati total cadangan devisa Indonesia yang pada pertengahan November mencapai US$ 93 miliar.
